Douglas Smith joined NCS SubSea in March 2019 as our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Smith has 30 years of experience working in corporate finance, acquisitions, investments, restructurings, audits, tax and accounting, including nearly 20 years of experience in international oilfield services. Prior to joining NCS SubSea, Smith worked as an entrepreneurial consultant developing energy and oilfield services companies from September 2016 to February 2019. During this time, Smith also served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of Sevan Drilling Ltd from July 2017 to August 2018. From November 2007 until September 2016, Smith was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Vantage Drilling International. From March 2003 until June 2007, Smith served in several capacities at Pride International, Inc. including as Chief Accounting Officer, Director of Budget and Strategic Planning and Vice-president of Financial Projects. Smith began his career at Arthur Andersen in Houston, Texas in 1991. Smith received a BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
