Seismic Support Positioning Equipment
NCS SubSea has short- and long-term rental equipment available for offshore projects including USBL systems, acoustic transponders, GPS and heading systems and much more.
Ocean Bottom Seismic
NCS SubSea supports the full suite of navigation tasks involved in conducting an OBS survey including source vessel control and positioning, node deployment and recovery, and USBL acoustic positioning of seafloor nodes with acoustic transponders. Depending on customer needs, NCS is capable of supporting seismic operations through the provision of equipment and/or personnel all the way up to complete onshore or offshore support, essentially acting as our customer’s navigation department.

VSP and DAS
NCS SubSea provides complete source vessel support, up to and including the provision of a fully-rigged and manned seismic source vessel for offshore downhole seismic data acquisition. For either VSP (vertical seismic profile) or DAS (distributed acoustic sensing) application, NCS offers a complete package including source array design and operation; real-time navigation and positioning; timing and event control; and near field hydrophone recording and QC.

Streamer
NCS SubSea uses industry-standard or proprietary navigation and positioning systems to support both conventional 2D and 3D streamer data acquisition and ultrahigh resolution 3D systems such as P-Cable. Additionally, NCS supports the provision of remote source vessels for wide azimuth, rich azimuth and ultra-long offset streamer surveys.
